Dear AAA

(No, not triple AAA).

Dear American Ant Association, thank you for considering our place to stay but unfortunately, you are NOT welcome. You see, for as long as I can remember, I thought you belonged in an anthill not a house with people in it!

At the next meeting, please consider moving to someone else's house preferably Rachel's* or Becky's*. Thanks and happy house hunting!

*move to her house so she can blog about you
*move to her house so she can take pictures of you

simple, I know...

This past weekend we went camping with two families in our small group. We don't own a camper so we borrowed one from a friend.

Our camper that we borrowed, we had a hard time backing it up into the driveway.

The mark it made while we were trying to back it in.....

Anyway, we arrived there safely Thursday night and woke up on Friday and went to the lake.

The oldest and the youngest.

Well, I didn't use my camera as much so there isn't alot of pictures.

Tim Hawkins!!!

We surprised our friends, Bekah and Josh, by taking them to go see Tim Hawkins. He wasn't as good as I thought he would be, though. But, I did have a good time.  Here are some pictures from the night.

Left Out

That is what I have been feeling lately. It seems as though who I thought were friends were not my friends or as close as I thought they were. I don't think they mean intentional harm but it hurts. They probably don't realize it either.

Orphans. I bet they feel left out.

thinking nobody cares about them.

They have NO family whatsoever. Then, why am I complaining about being left out. I have a family that cares enough about me not to abandon, reject, or leave me out on the streets to die. Why? Why do we complain about the petty things in life when their are......Orphans...?

I know we all have are little moments. But are little moments should decrease when we think about everything else, including......Orphans.

That is why I want to introduce y'all to HopeSuds.com. Where their motto is "Do Laundry. Save Orphans." Mrs. Lora, over @ Vitafam, is adopting one or two little ones from Uganda. In order to do that, they are raising money by making Homemade Laundry Soap! I bought some via a friend the other day.

So far, I LOVE HopeSuds!! I have used them multiple times and they work!! So, go on over and buy some! They will make a GREAT Mother's Day gift!! I promise! :)

A Chipmunk, Some College Guys, and CEF

Well, to start off with the bad news first........a beloved chipmunk died three days ago. Our dog, Buddy, dug a hole in our flowerbed, franticly chasing after the poor little thing. :(

Anyway, yesterday, we had Secret Church @ Brookhills. The topic, "The Gospel, Possessions, and Prosperity," captivated me and these guys......

We had the opportunity to host them, which was awesome! Not all of them are pictured, though. :(

Before they left,  "The Guys" (thats what they called themselves :)), gave me an envelope filled with money for my missionary work with CEF.  I am thankful and humbled by what they did. It was not a "small amount" but a generous one!!  I was not expecting it at all!!!  Guys, I am truly grateful for your support of me! Thank you so much!!

Which leads me to the last part of the post.....Meeting almost all of my teammates that I will be working with this summer.  We had a "pre-training"/fellowship day at Uncle Doug and Aunt Debbie's house. I enjoyed it and can't wait for the summer!! :)

You can already tell we're a interesting bunch! :)

I plan on posting updates on my blog at least weekly of what I have been doing with CEF!

Have a great week!
