Bullet Points.
My mind is in overload and so, I feel like making a list using bullet points. Here goes something.....
- I have so much stuff to do before I leave for a 10-day vacay with my grandma. I'm not even halfway down my list. I blame it on Di*rect T*V....yeah..
- All my classes start the week I'm gone which means I have to be one step ahead of everybody in all my classes.
- I also have to finish chemistry before I leave......(*shakes head* not happening)
- I can drive legally.....but, thats beside the point. Just thought I'd tell you that.... ;)
- I have a boatload of pictures that I still have to edit and draft posts to put on my blog. (aka my online journal)
- My new favorite series is Anne Of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. Now, I want to watch the movies.
- Some of my friends are starting college next week.
- I have exactly two more years until that happens to me.
- Did you know that bananas and ice-cream are an excellent combination? Ask me how I know.... :) (inspiration here.)
- One of my favorite photographers did an awesome shoot with this wonderful family. go check her and them out here.
- Also, I didn't forget about the giveaway. Sean, you will get something special from Hawaii! Of course, I could extend the giveaway but, nah! This just proves who actually reads my blog. =o
- Idk what else to write so, I'm done now. :)

Facebook And Twitter Couldn't Handle This.....
{Recently, I have been listening to David Platt's sermons on Galatians. This has to be one of my favorite books in the Bible. At the beginning of the last one in the series, there was this incredibly long quote by John Piper that was too big to post on Facebook and maxed out the character count on Twitter. So, I wanted to post it here. I hope you read and understand the seriousness of it. And if you would like to listen to the sermon, you can click here. }
“You don’t have to know a lot of things for your life to make a lasting difference in the world. But you do have to know the few great things that matter, and to be willing to live for them and die for them. The people that make a durable difference in the world are not the people who have mastered many things, but who have been mastered by a few great things. If you want your life to count, if you want the ripple effect of the pebbles you drop to become waves that reach the ends of the earth and roll on for centuries into eternity, you don't have to have a high IQ; you don't have to have to have good looks or riches; you don't have to come from a fine family or a fine school. You have to know a few great, majestic, unchanging, obvious, simple, glorious things, and be set on fire by them.”
“But, I know that not all of you want your life to make a difference. There are many of you, you don’t care whether you make a lasting difference for something great. You just want people to like you or if you could just grow up and have a good job with a good wife or a husband and a couple of good kids and a nice car and long weekends and a few good friends, a fun retirement and a quick and easy death and no hell; if you could have that, you’d be satisfied.”
“That is a tragedy in the making.”
“Three weeks ago we got word at our church that Ruby Eliason and Laura Edwards had both been killed in Cameroon. Ruby was over 80. Single all her life, she poured it out for one great thing: To make Jesus Christ known among the unreached, the poor, and the sick. Laura was a widow, a medical doctor, pushing 80 years old, and serving at Ruby’s side in Cameroon. The brakes failed, the car went over the cliff, and they were both killed instantly. And I asked my people: was that a tragedy? Two lives, driven by one great vision, spent in unheralded service to the perishing poor for the glory of Jesus Christ - two decades after almost all their American counterparts have retired to throw their lives away on trifles in Florida or New Mexico."
"No, That is not a tragedy. That is a glory.”
I’ll tell you what a tragedy is. I’ll read to you from Reader’s Digest what a tragedy is. “Bob and Penny took early retirement from their jobs in the Northeast five years ago when he was 59 and she was 51. Now they live in Punta Gorda, Florida, where they cruise on their 30 foot trawler, play softball and collect shells.” The American Dream: come to the end of your life - your one and only life - and let the last great work before you give an account to your Creator, be “I collected shells. See my shells, God?” That is a tragedy. And people today are spending billions of dollars to persuade you to embrace that tragic dream. And I want to plead with you, don’t buy it.” –––John Piper, quoted by David Platt.
I'll post more later.......

My Wonderful Commentary On An Assortment Of Pictures.....
{Disclaimer: This post has a high amount of sarcasm.
Be warned as you read. }
Now, that title was totally sarcastic y'all. (and long. really long.) I took over 150 photographs on Day 6 of CYIA Training. So, thus begins my commentary on random pictures that have a purpose.....somewhere.
This is Pete and his "dead" people that he darted during the dart game.
That was just the start.....I think he ended up with 5 people all crammed in there...I think it was tooooo long of a lunch break. lol :)
After our incredibly long lunch break, we went to our afternoon track, entitled "How to Teach Preschoolers" or more commonly know as "Letting Your Inner Preschool Out".
Our four preschoolers surprisingly paying attention during the definition of sin.
Aunt Debbie telling them about Jesus' work on the Cross.
I love this expression on MC's face! She is definitely the comic in the bunch! :)
Something is different in this picture.....Can you tell?
Hey Sam, the 80's called, they want their hair back. |
After class, it was off to study hall!
This is lovely LeAnn getting ready for Demo Club where she taught the memory verse!
You did a wonderful job, btw!
Intently, coloring our preschool examples of sin.
And this is Ruth, who decided to come and visit us for a day.
Here she is studying her Brit. Lit. bleh!
Proof that I wasn't always behind the lens..... :)
Since it was the last day of Demo Club, we had prizes to give out! :O
Little ones for the losers 2nd placers!
I would like to pause and publicly thank Uncle Doug and Aunt Debbie for coordinating training for all the Alabama teens and their leaders.
These people right here, have a passion for boys and girls to come to Christ and they tirelessly serve to make God's name known in all nations where they live. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
This is one of the many Sarahs at training....
Lotus!
My LSU Tiger Buddy!!! :)
I have no clue....
Much better.....
